Kung Fu Panda 3 Hollywood movie review
Disney’s Zootopia had a long lasting and memorable effect on me such that that the positive and refreshing energy that film gave to me is still lingering in my mind. Close on the heels of Zootopia’s success, we have the third installment of the Kung Fu Panda franchise making its release which is a delayed one (almost three months) in India.
DreamWorks Animation can be proud of scripting yet another success story on the animation segment. Kung Fu Panda 3 is a hilarious and joyous ride offering total laugh riot. There is not a single scene that lags or makes you bored.
Po, the Panda gets united with his father Li but in the meantime, the antagonist Kai escapes from the spirit realm to take all the chi from every Kung Fu master. Po who is now the Dragon Warrior has to fight Kai and save all the pandas and also his friends from the clutches of the villainous Kai.
Non-stop entertainment with loads of fun and humour makes this version a must watch film if you are keenly following the franchise and at the same time an ardent fan of the series. I heard from some that the third part is not action packed and as flashy as the previous versions. But honestly I didn’t feel so. The film gave me unlimited fun entertainment just like the prequels offered.
Animation is top class with three dimensional effects acting like a catalyst in making this department look brilliant on screen. The coloring pattern used was perfect. Voice overs of Jack Black, JK Simmons, Dustin Hoffman for Po, Kai and Master Shifu respectively were notable. Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan also lent their part with their voices.
Music and BGM also made a lasting effect for the film right from the start till the very end in creating a joyful mood. Edits are sharp and the dialogues are too funny. Screenplay is fast and lively adding a set of cool pandas in Panda village giving more colour to the storyline.
At ninety five minutes of running time, Kung Fu Panda makes you laugh all the way with cool jokes. Just like any other top class Hollywood animation film, Kung Fu Panda 3 is also suited for every audience, be it an adult or a child.
Just go for it, sit and relax with the Pandas. Oh yes you should be watching this one in theatre and that too in 3D. Going with four out out of five as my rating. There are three more to follow suit from the series making it a six part movie and I am eagerly looking forward to the next one from this franchise.
Rating – 4 / 5
