Captain America: Civil War Doing Well Internationally!
2016’s most anticipated Disney and Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War hasn’t been launched in all parts of the world yet! But the regions it opened, saw a bright steady collection and crossed $ 200.2 Million on the opening weekend! Captain America: Civil War is definitely the biggest movie of the year with such a huge star cast and movie budget involved. The film’s performance overseas in the opening weekend is going strong and is just a slight margin behind Avengers: Age of Ultron’s performance at the box office last year, which roped in a staggering $ 201.2 Million box office, on its opening weekend.
According to Disney estimates, Civil War is lagging behind by a mere 5% behind the Age of Ultron, and is 26% percent ahead of both Iron Man 3 and The Avengers, as well as 157% ahead of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Although Captain America: Civil War hasn’t opened in the United States and in other parts of the world like China, India, Italy and Russia, it is estimated that after this week’s release, the opening weekend collections would soar high and overtake the Age of Ultron!
Currently, Civil War is at the 14th place for the biggest international opening of all time. Age of Ultron is still standing tall as the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time with an enormous international haul of $ 946.8 Million dollars. So far, Civil War has opened in 37 territories including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, South Korea and more, and it was the No. 1 movie in the theaters. It also set an all-time opening record in Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines.
